RICKY RAAD
Principal
Ricky Raad is the Principal of R Legal and has extensive expertise in the area of commercial, industrial and retail leasing acting for both landlord’s and tenant’s. Ricky has significant experience and an impressive track record in contractual disputes, debt recovery, corporations law, construction disputes and competition law.
Whether it be across his leasing practice, commercial/corporate disputes or debt recovery practice, Ricky’s pragmatic and commercial approach paired with his deep understanding of the law ensures that his Clients are fully aware of their legal rights and commercial options with each matter from its inception to the end. At the forefront of each transaction is the protection of his client’s business and financial interests coupled with his passion for helping those who have been aggrieved.
Ricky predominately practices in NSW and has acted on for a range of clients across his service areas for ASX listed companies, government departments and government related entities, national franchisors and franchisees, real estate institute trusts, developers, retailers and distributors, property companies and family-owned businesses.
NICOLE RAAD
Partner
Nicole Raad is a Partner at R Legal, with an in depth knowledge of commercial disputes, focusing on insolvency and debt recovery. Nicole has experience working in all state jurisdictions, with the majority of her work based in New South Wales.
Nicole previously worked in mid-tier law firms based in Sydney, working in their commercial dispute teams and managing large volumes of litigation matters ranging from complex commercial disputes to small debt recovery proceedings. Nicole also worked at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), where she played a key role in investigating misconduct of financial advisers, financial firms and major banks in contravention of financial services laws.
Nicole is fair and understanding in her approach to commercial disputes, ensuring transparency and honest advice to her clients in each matter. Nicole’s clients trust her judgment and experience in prioritising the efficient management of their matters, paired with a commercial approach to achieve the best possible outcome.
In her spare time, Nicole regularly volunteers at the RSPCA to give back to the community and advocate for animal welfare.
